We only receive personal data that you send to us yourself:

• Quote and contact forms: company, name, e-mail address, phone number (optional), country, machine of interest, web material, web width or roll size, your message, your consent, and the page the form was sent from.
• Support chat: the questions you type, the answers given, the page you were on and a random conversation number. The chat does not ask for your name.
• Talk to a person: name, e-mail address, company (optional), your question (optional) and the chat conversation up to that moment.
• If you contact us by e-mail or phone, we receive the details you give us in that message or call.

• To answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation and follow up on it. This is a step you ask us to take before a possible contract.
• To give technical support for machines you own.
• To improve the answers of the support chat and the information on this website. This is our legitimate interest.

We do not sell personal data, we do not use it for advertising profiles and we do not send newsletters unless you ask us to.

The support chat can answer automatically. When the AI assistant is active, your questions and the conversation are sent to Anthropic (the provider of the Claude AI model) to generate an answer, based only on the product and company information on this website. AI answers can be incorrect; the product pages and our written quotations are leading.

Please do not enter sensitive personal data in the chat. To talk to a person, use "Talk to a person" in the chat.

We use the following providers to run this website. They process data only on our instructions:

• Supabase: database that stores form submissions, chat conversations and requests to talk to a person.
• Anthropic: generates the answers of the AI support assistant, only when it is active.
• Vercel: hosts the website. Like every web server, it records technical data such as IP address, browser type and time of the request in server logs, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

WEBTEC is based in Taiwan and our service providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place for these transfers.

We keep your data for as long as we need it to handle your enquiry, quotation or support request and any business relationship that follows, and for as long as the law requires us to keep records. After that we delete it.

This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking. Fonts are loaded from our own server, not from third parties.

The support chat keeps the current conversation in your browser’s session storage, so it stays visible when you move to another page. It is removed when you close the browser tab.

Links to YouTube videos, Google Maps and PDF catalogues open those services only when you click them. Their own privacy policies apply there.

Depending on the law that applies to you, you can ask us for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction or a copy in a common format, and you can object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

Send your request to the e-mail address below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country.

Data is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Visitors can send data to our database but cannot read it; only authorised WEBTEC staff have access.

We may update this policy when the website or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
